Kelly Osbourne hits back at ‘cruel’ and ‘dehumanizing’ comments on her appearance

She added: “None of it proves strength; it only reveals a profound absence of compassion and character. I’m currently going through the hardest time in my life. I should not even have to defend myself. But I won’t sit here and allow myself to be dehumanized in such a way!”

But this isn’t the first time she has addressed comments on her weight, after noticeably looking slimmer after the death of her father, which Sharon had noted was due to Kelly’s inability to eat during her grief.Last December, she posted a since-deleted Instagram video, in which she said to the critics: “All those people, f*** off”.

She went on to say: “To the people who keep thinking they’re being funny and mean by writing comments like ‘Are you ill,’ or ‘Get off Ozempic, you don’t look right,’ my dad just died, and I’m doing the best that I can, and the only thing I have to live for right now is my family.”

In an interview with People, she also explained: “I have been a drug addict, an alcoholic … I’ve been a complete mess, disrespectful to people, horrible.

« But I got more s*** for being fat than I did for anything else. It’s insane.”

The 41-year-old and daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne has certainly had a tricky past year following the death of her dad in July 2025.

But as is the case with any form of grief, you try to carry on – but that has certainly been made harder for Kelly given the awful abuse she’s received regarding her appearance.

The television personality has addressed those body-shaming comments head on by sharing some of them to her Instagram Stories.

One social media user described Kelly as ‘too thin and fragile’, disgustingly adding that she looks like a ‘dead body’ who would be ‘going to see her dad soon’.

« Literally can’t believe how disgusting some human beings truly are! No one deserves this sort of abuse! » Kelly wrote alongside a screenshot of the some of the abuse she’s endured.Kelly has been the victim of a fair bit of abuse since Ozzy died last summer, and in December she discussed some of the ‘horrible, mean and rude comments’ she’s received.
