My Neighbors Started Using My Driveway Like It Was Theirs But, I Made Sure They Stopped.

“Well, one of us is wrong.”

“Yeah. And it’s not me.”

I went inside and pulled my closing documents. Found my property survey from 2014.Clear. Detailed. Showing the driveway entirely within my lot boundaries.

I took it to Brent’s door. He was in his garage, organizing tools on a pegboard.

“This is my survey. From when I bought the place. Professional. Certified. Shows the driveway is mine.”

He glanced at it. “That’s nine years old. Things shift.”

“Property lines don’t shift.”

“Surveys can be wrong.”

“So can new surveys. Especially if you hired someone who measured wrong.”

His jaw tightened. “I’m telling you, Nate. That gravel is on my side. And I want it removed.”I wasn’t removing anything. But I also wasn’t an idiot.
