For Nearly 100 Years, Nobody Knew His Name But the World Refused to Forget Him

People from across the community attended.

Many had never met the child.

Most knew nothing about him.

Still, they felt compelled to be there.

Witnesses later recalled seeing grown men openly weep as the tiny white coffin was lowered into the ground.

The little boy was buried at Fairview Lawn Cemetery beneath a granite marker that identified him only as:
