Her eyes flicked between him and the three men. She nodded once, too quickly.
“I just need to get through,” she said.
Nathan shifted his stance slightly—just enough to place himself between her and them without making it theatrical.
“Then go,” he said, not to her—to them.
The stocky one laughed. “Or what?”
