Just for a second, I told myself.

When I woke up, sunlight was cutting across the floor in sharp, golden lines.
My heart jumped into my throat.
I looked down immediately.
Willow was still there. Safe. Warm. Breathing softly against me.
Relief flooded through me so fast it almost hurt.
