He opened his eyes for half a second.
“Call…” he whispered.
“I’m calling. Stay with me.”
The ambulance arrived within minutes. A paramedic placed pads on Daniel’s chest while another asked about medication and previous heart problems.
Daniel tried to speak again.
“He takes blood pressure pills,” I said. “He has been tired lately, but he works too much.”
