You do not move right away.

For five years of marriage, “talk” always meant you listening while Gabriel explained why his mother’s cruelty was actually stress, why his sister’s entitlement was actually family culture, why your exhaustion was selfishness, why your money was somehow everyone’s shared resource except your own.
