It appeared to be made from silver-colored metal and folded open like a tiny case.
Two dark circular pieces were fitted into one side.
The opposite side contained a reflective surface, worn and scratched after what appeared to be decades of use.
A thin chain was attached to the top.
There were decorative markings along the metal, but no obvious manufacturer’s name.

No instructions.
Nothing explaining why someone had hidden it beneath the floor.
The family initially assumed it was an antique sewing accessory.
Then someone suggested it might be a miniature grooming kit.
