“Eleanor, we need to talk about reality.”
Eleanor did not look up immediately.
She gently brushed a strand of hair away from Daniel’s forehead before answering.
“I know what you’re here to say.”
Richard folded his arms.
“Daniel has been like this for three years. The board believes it’s time to legally declare him permanently incapacitated.”
Caroline added softly, though her tone carried little sympathy.
“The company needs stability.”
Eleanor’s fingers tightened around Daniel’s hand.
“He is still alive.”
