Dr. Nathan Cole wanted Daniel’s scheduled blood pressure medication given while the team reviewed his case. Avery stood beside the bed with the sealed pill cup in her hand. Then she put it down.
“I want to hold this until you reassess him.”
The charge nurse looked at the active Order. “Cardiology already cleared it.”
“I know.”
“Then what are you waiting for?”
Avery looked at Daniel. “Something changed.”
She lowered the bed rail, pulled the Chair closer, and sat down.
At the nurse’s station, another nurse looked through the glass at Avery sitting beside a patient while her medication cart remained parked outside. “There she goes again.”
