Truth.
Her phone rang.
And in one second, she transformed into the woman the world loved — warm voice, melodic laugh, practiced sincerity.
“Yes, love, everything is going smoothly,” she said lightly. “He suspects nothing. Once the papers are signed, life becomes easier. Three children will not derail my future.”
Then, another sentence.
One that chilled the air.
“There are facilities. Wealth buys freedom.”
