Cori had first announced she was expecting in an interview with E! News in December 2024.
In the interview, she confirmed the date that she found out that she was expecting, telling the outlet: « I found out October 28. »
Cori had gone on to explain that she was considered to be a ‘high-risk pregnancy’, adding: « Doctors were very concerned for me and the baby, but God has his hands on me. »In a social media post on February 28 2025, confirming Codi’s birth three months early, she said: “The princess arrived at 6 months. I’ve cried and cried, I’ve compared and compared, blaming myself that I wasn’t able to give her all that she needed.
« But no matter what God always shows me that I’m His Child!”
She added: “Baby girl came at 25 weeks today and she’s perfect as ever! Thank You God for getting me this far no matter the odds that are constantly thrown against me.”
Following Codi’s birth, Cori later revealed that she’d undergone a C-section after doctors told her that she was developing Hemolysis, Elevated Liver enzymes and Low Platelets, or HELLP, syndrome.
Preeclampsia Foundation describes this condition as a ‘life-threatening pregnancy complication’ which is considered to be a type of preeclampsia, a serious blood pressure disorder caused by blood vessels not fully transforming during pregnancy.
