At my daughter’s fu:neral, my son-in-law leaned in and murmured, “You have 24 hours to leave my house.” I met his eyes, smiled, and said nothing. I packed one bag and disappeared. A week later, his phone rang.

That’s when I saw Ryan move.

He didn’t rush.

Didn’t shout.

He just walked up, grabbed Ed the same way — and did exactly what had just been done to me.

No hesitation.

Gasps filled the room.

For a second, everything froze.

Then Ryan let him go and said, calm and clear:

“That’s what you just did to her.”

Ed wiped his face, furious.
